ABOUT MAINE BLACK CHERRY:
Black cherry is found throughout the Northeast and can often be spotted by its bark which resembles burnt potato chips. One of North America’s most prized trees for lumber, black cherry possess deep, rich reddish heartwood with creamy white sapwood. Many species of birds and mammals relish black cherries which ripen in late summer.
