Halfway Rock Light

Located on a barren ledge ten miles offshore in Casco Bay, Maine, the lighthouse was built in 1871 to guide mariners safely through the bay. Known as a ‘stag lighthouse’ for its rugged isolation, Halfway Rock embodies both the challenges and the stark beauty of life on the edge of the ocean.
